area30 2017 with stable growth successfully finished
The seventh area30 design. kitchen. technics. in Löhne (Germany), was widely considered to be a great success. Just as in previous years, exhibitors welcomed even more industry visitors (up 3.7%) from over 46 countries in true cosmopolitan sprit. Upon reflection, everyone involved can be very pleased with how the highly esteemed ordering event unfolded. All the important indicators for the event – such as exhibitor and visitor numbers and the total surface area booked – have been steadily increasing since its inception.

A completely new image: fresh growth thanks to the addition of a third exhibition hall
area30, which is famous for its unique abundance of innovations, its fantastic atmosphere and intensive ordering events, has once again in 2017 proven itself worthy of its status as a central fixture of the trade fair season in East Westphalia and as the most important event for businesses in the kitchen industry.
The 2017 event, which took place from 16 – 21 September, first caught the attention as a result of a bold, but successful, experiment involving the doubling of the existing exhibition space.
9,950 square metres of exhibition space (+17% from the previous year) were set aside for the event, which featured 130 companies and brands, side by side. ‘At the right place at the right time’ kitchen furniture manufacturers, as well as suppliers of sinks, fittings, extraction systems, electronics, software and accessories met with industry experts, shoppers and media representatives over the six days of the exhibition.
Steady increase in visitor traffic and increasing international draw
In terms of visitors, 2017 was also a record breaking year: we are pleased to announce that the report for the trade fair recorded 12,281 visitors. It comes as no surprise that German trade visitors once again came out on top amongst the many area30 fans with 9,375 visitors, in other words 81.4% of the visitor share. Nearly one in ten visitors (939 in total) came from an important trading partner, or one of our western neighbours, the Netherlands.
The right place at the right time: simplifying networking and successful orders
The successful area30 design, its pleasant and relaxed atmosphere, as well as the pervasive service mind-set has led to its increase in appeal. It was a huge success for all involved.
