For over 60 years, STRASSER Steine has been working with precisely this special material. In the Mühlviertel region of Upper Austria – the heartland of granite – this material is transformed into high-quality natural stone worktops and bespoke solutions for the kitchen. From the careful selection of raw slabs to precise processing, STRASSER Steine combines decades of expertise with a commitment to showcasing the unique characteristics of each stone to the fullest.

At area30 2026, this fusion of nature and craftsmanship will take centre stage in a whole new way. New materials, new perspectives and natural stone in a form that you must not only see, but experience.

For STRASSER Steine, the search for new natural stones begins where they are formed: in quarries around the world. The STRASSER stone scout is constantly on the lookout for rocks that stand out due to their distinctive veining, colouring and unique character. But first impressions alone are not enough. Quality, workability and availability are just as crucial in determining whether a stone makes it into the range. Three such discoveries are making their debut in Löhne. Three natural stones that could hardly be more different – and which, precisely because of this, demonstrate the diversity that nature produces.

With ST-ONE, STRASSER Steine takes things one step further. It brings together everything that has been honed over decades of working with natural stone: the expertise in selecting the right stone, an instinctive understanding of its veining, and the utmost precision in craftsmanship. After all, the grain, colour gradients and textures all play a part in determining the kitchen’s final look. That is why every ST-ONE is individually designed and tailored to the character of the chosen stone. The result is a kitchen that is just as unique as the material itself – a one-of-a-kind creation.

There are also new developments to discover in ceramics: two new designs draw on current trends in architecture and interior design and translate them into contemporary finishes for the kitchen. They expand the STRASSER collection with two designs that capture the spirit of the times.

ALPINOVA rounds off the exhibition stand and showcases another facet of modern kitchen design. The material, developed specifically for the kitchen, is fully in line with the circular economy principle: production offcuts and returned worktops can be reintroduced into the manufacturing process and become part of something new.
