area30 goes on „Stage“
When the twelfth edition of the six-day novelty and order fair area30 begins in Löhne on September 16, it is not only attractive novelties and product developments from the kitchen industry that attract the numerous trade fair guests from all over Europe. Of course, the exceptionally good booking level of over 200 exhibiting companies or brands is the strongest magnet that draws business customers, multipliers and media representatives to this central business platform of the "Kitchen Autumn OWL". At the same time, organizer Trendfairs is again focusing this year on knowledge transfer and securing the future of the industry. One highlight, which goes far beyond the usual accompanying programs, will be the "Stage" for the first time this year, which has already been appreciated at other B2B events of the Munich trade fair organizers. And a second highlight will be the visit of students from the "MöFa" furniture trade college to the fascinating world of modern kitchens - because it is precisely this cadre school that recruits the future management personnel for the furniture trade and industry.
Until the end of the trade fair on September 21, the "Stage", which is designed to impart knowledge, will unfold its incomparable appeal. This is the only place where you can get first-hand, original 'news' from top-class speakers on all the topics that move the industry and set the course for the continued successful future of the kitchen furniture industry, electrical appliance manufacturers and accessories and software suppliers. Of the 30 or so contributions, a few will be briefly highlighted here in advance. On Saturday afternoon, Markus Schomacker from Yvis Küchenglück Kitchen Marketing will cause a sensation with his impulse treatise "Turnover despite decline in frequency". Because although the kitchen industry is largely successful in defying the general economic downturn, it too is affected by declining customer frequency. And in such phases, it's important to manage and optimize the existing customer flow - in order to stand out from the competition and significantly increase sales.
Sunday morning starts with an 'Innovation Talk' on "Kitchen of the Future 2030". A full house is guaranteed for this topic. Barbara Busse (Future+You), Blanko design boss Marcel Moritz and Nadia Perziano, who is responsible for trends and innovations at the Dr. Oetker Group, will be discussing this on the "Stage". Changing eating habits, new foods or smart technologies - they subject kitchens and cooking to constant change. Those who pay attention to this and react early have the best chances in competition. The afternoon of the second day of the trade show will also take place in this context: Yvonne Zahn (Yvis Küchenglück Kitchen Marketing) will then take her guests on a journey into the exciting world of trends and innovations for the year 2024.
Christian Lenzhölzer will then show his interested audience on Monday at lunchtime how his software startup Hey.Kitchen is revolutionizing the kitchen and furniture industry with digital solutions and seamlessly connecting, digitizing and optimizing the entire logistics. The title of his presentation: "Genial. Digital. The digital assembly and logistics network with software + app for digital kitchen and furniture assembly nationwide." Anyone who knows about the explosive bottleneck 'assembly' when buying a new kitchen will definitely come to this presentation on the area30-Stage.
On Tuesday, September 19, Richard Loch (Plaza Digital Innovation & Communication GmbH) will focus on the all-important issue of digitization under the heading "Courage for new solutions for the kitchen of the future". Because a real change in times is currently taking place - also in the kitchen living space. The smart solution here is called "Tielo": it overcomes digital clutter and creates added value for the future, according to Loch. As a connecting element for all digital manufacturer offerings and applications, the application promises: Together we create a new quality of life for people!
Wednesday's discussion panel brings together Barbara Busse (Future+You) with Susanne Dietl (Head of Marketing & Product Management at Schock) and students from MöFa's Kitchen Department. Their 'Future Talk' will focus on "Circular Kitchen - circularity as the new imperative". Because sustainability is not just a media buzzword, but a central motif of future-oriented action. After an inspiring keynote speech, sustainability pioneers Schock and Rotpunkt will discuss the "Sustainable Future of the Kitchen Industry" with young entrepreneurs.
These and other innovative presentations await you at the stage within area30 from September 16 to 21.
The participation of the young students from Cologne goes back to an initiative of trade fair boss Michael Rambach. Already in the previous year, he had invited the furniture school trendfairs together with the supporting companies to come to the 'Kitchen Autumn' in East Westphalia. Certainly also to sensitize the students to the latest developments in the industry. But above all, because one thing is becoming increasingly clear, and not just in conversations with trade fair guests: The long success story of the kitchen will only continue if young, committed and highly qualified people become enthusiastic about this industry.
With its own shuttle bus, the excursion for the students will be given a big makeover, as in 2022, under the label "MöFa goes Küchenherbst". Sabine Gantzkow, head of the technical college, is already looking forward to it: "The semester starts on September 11 and one week later the bus will head straight for Löhne. It's a great start, giving students the opportunity to get their first impressions, make contact with potential future employers, build or expand their own network and also strengthen the community among students." The chance to get an idea of how theory and practice are linked right at the beginning of a course of study is something that certainly not many people have, Gantzkow continued. For this unique and one-time opportunity, the Trendfairs furniture school is very grateful and hopes that a wonderful tradition will develop from it. "We are already looking forward to exciting days in OWL, at one of the most important trade fairs in the industry!" - there is probably nothing to add to these words.
