area30 is a hybrid trade fair from now on
A flexible temporary hall system and hybrid digital formats
From an economic perspective, the pandemic crisis surrounding COVID-19 appears to have passed its lowest point. In many places, people are starting to look to the future, and that includes consumers. Planned investments are being tackled and innovations and new ideas are back in demand, for example from the kitchen industry, which is profiting particularly well from the new focus on spending time “at home”. The home exhibitions in the kitchen furniture industry and the area30 trade fair are the best-known tools for communicating innovation in this sector. In 2020, the trade fair will continue to fulfil its responsibilities towards the exhibiting companies and their employees: in close cooperation with authorities and the market partners involved, the event organiser has been working for months on a sophisticated hygiene concept and digital communication channels.
The area30 network is working hard on the format for this year’s communication with trade partners. The installation of new communication options, as well as an on-the-ground presence in Löhne, is a key topic here.
Visitors and exhibitors now have a choice: they can attend the trade fair in person or online from anywhere in the world. The digital area30 will also enable new visitor groups from the industry to save time by browsing innovative products and services, thanks to the expansion of the potential visitors to include these interested parties who previously were unable to or would not participate in person in this innovation showcase. Area30 is therefore a “hybrid trade fair” from now on and creates a close link between in-person and virtual attendance.
In addition, in 2020 the order platform at the heart of the kitchen furniture industry will also be able to use the unbelievably flexible temporary halls to the last detail in order to implement social distancing and hygiene measures the best way possible. The area30 hall can be constructed according to the requirements and will feature a generous amount of space, as well as large entrance and exit areas. This will prevent additional waiting times for visitors, to ensure that maintaining business contacts in person remains enjoyable and purposeful.
Michael Rambach, founder and shareholder at Trendfairs GmbH, comments: “As the event organiser, we understand the needs of our industry and respect every individual decision made by each company. Companies that have already stated they will be unable to attend the event informed us in advance in a trusting, personal manner and gave the reasons for their decisions. We really appreciate this valuable partnership and we are thrilled to have already received confirmations of attendance at the next area30 from these companies, which makes us thankful to have such great customers. This motivates us even more to make all our formats even more appealing than they already are. We would like to invite all companies to participate in the digital area30.”
We are in close contact with all interested parties and exhibitors who have booked stands at area30 because we have a particularly high level of responsibility as the key order platform for upcoming business. We are certainly reassessing the situation every day and taking the next steps.
